The man who we're convinced was based on Tony Stark and not the other way around was recently contacted by Vicky Keyte via Instagram. Her son, Daniel, is suffering from cystic fibrosis and was having a rough few days of it.
As her mother explains it, "he has managed to get past the bullies he faces from day to day by telling them the he too has a extra special port in his chest much like iron man has his arc reactor (sic)."
So, sure enough, Downey Jr. responded with this.
What a guy. And yes, we get that it's Captain America, not Iron Man.
