Yeah, we can't really get a grip on that headline either, but here we are.
'70s art-pop pioneers Sparks - who recently teamed up with Franz Ferdinand to create a supergroup called FFS (amazing name) - are making their debut as screenwriters with Annette, described by iMDB as a "music-filled drama" about a stand-up comedian whose opera singer wife dies suddenly and leaves him alone with his two-year old daughter with a surprising gift. The film, which will be directed by Leos Carax, will also feature a soundtrack from Sparks.
So far, Adam Driver and Rihanna have signed on to star with casting underway for the female lead role, which was originally due to be played by Rooney Mara. The news comes as Amazon Studios announced its acquisition of US-Canadian distribution rights, with plans to begin production on the film later this Spring.
Carax, who directed the critically acclaimed Holy Motors, will be making his English-language debut with Annette.
No release date has been confirmed, but it'll likely be some time before we see Anette in an Irish cinema. In the meantime, here's Sparks' No.1 Song In Heaven.
