We all thought that Ridley Scott had made a big fat embarrassing error of judgment when he allowed for Prometheus to be released (although he did the right thing by casting Micky Fassbender, we'd watch him in Mrs. Brown's Boys if we're honest) but he has just revealed to Empire that a sequel to the Alien prequel "is written". Yay.
Despite receiving, we'll say, less than enthusiastic reviews for the first Prometheus, it performed well at the box office and a second installment got the green light in August 2012.
No more details have emerged but it might be a while away (long enough for them to change their minds?) till the movie is made since Scott already has quite a lot on his plate. On starting production he said: "I have already got the next two films ready to go. That will be 2014, 2015…"
