Sam Raimi has just signed up Fede Alvarez, the Uruguayan director of YouTube hit, Panic Attack! to develop an original project with. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alvarez was flown to LA last week where he had a series of meetings with studios about helming possible films for them.

When money and ideas where thrown around, there were apparently several offers on the table for the young helmer, but he chose to go with Raimi's Ghost House production company, where he'll develop an original genre project for them. While there's no word on the actual plot of the film, it's thought its an original idea Alvarez had, and not a feature length version of Panic Attack!

The short itself is quite remarkable, given that it was made for "a few hundred dollars." Have a looksie down below
