It should be pointed out, however, that Deadline's source on this story says that calling it a Charles Manson film is "is akin to calling Inglourious Basterds a movie about Adolf Hitler, when the Nazi leader was only in a scene or two."

Either way, Tarantino's ninth film - which is tentatively titled #9 - is now ready to find a studio home, after the director parted ways with longtime producer Harvey Weinstein and TWC. According to Deadline's source, the script is now being ready by all of the major studios - bar Disney - and the deal will reportedly be for one studio to release the film globally rather than it be broken up into separate studios for US and international distribution.

On top of this, it's understood that Tarantino has written roles for Margot Robbie possibly playing Sharon Tate, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and Brad Pitt. The film will be set in Los Angeles in the late '60s / early '70s, however no further details have so far been revealed.

If he's to be believed, the film will be Tarantino's penultimate film as the director has said he plans to retire on his tenth film. No release date has been confirmed as of yet, but expect a deal to be struck with a studio in the next few days.
