The documentary will follow the band since Lambert joined in 2011
Queen and Adam Lambert know how to give the people what they want.
Hot on the heels of their opening performance at this year's Oscars, where they earned themselves a standing ovation, Queen and Adam Lambert have announced they've been filming a documentary together. They began filming when Lambert joined Queen on stage at one of their first concerts together back in 2011.
'The Show Must Go On - The Queen + Adam Lambert Story' will be a two hour documentary. No doubt the doc will also allude back to when Lambert performed 'Bohemian Rhapsody' for his first audition on 'American Idol' in 2009; he also performed with them on stage that season too. Lambert finished as runner-up to Kris Allen.
Lambert made the announcement on his Twitter. The show is set to air on ABC, April 29th.

'Bohemian Rhapsody' earned four awards at The Oscars this year, including Best Actor for Rami Malek. Malek is also believed to feature in the documentary, as well as Brian May and Roger Taylor of course.
Ryan Seacrest, who hosted 'American Idol' when Lambert made it to the final, posted a picture of the pair together on The Oscars Red Carpet. He captioned the photo with, "Still remember the day @AdamLambert auditioned for Idol with 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and now he’s opening with Queen! Proof that vision boards work."
