Don't you know that he's your man?
Even though it might just be a careless whisper, Queen's Adam Lambert has put himself forward for the role of George Michael in an eventual biopic.
Speaking to Metro yesterday in an interview, the topic of musical biopics came up, and said that he'd love to see a George Michael biopic. "I think that would be very interesting. That’d be cool, I just feel like, we don’t know that much about him. You know, to me, it would be great to kind of explore George’s life."
When asked if he could see himself playing Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, however, Lambert was ready to spin the wheel. "Yeah, sign me up!"
Funnily enough, there's a bit of a connection between Lambert and George Michael already. As Lambert is now the current frontman for Queen, George Michael stepped into Freddie Mercury's place for a special benefit concert to perform 'Somebody To Love', often cited as one of the finest live covers ever performed.
Of course, all of this is just a fantasy at the minute as there are currently no plans to adapt George Michael's life in to a musical biopic ala 'Bohemian Rhapsody' or 'Rocketman', but it seems unlikely it hasn't been talked about already.
