Natalie Portman has signed on to star in the big screen adaptation of the comic book, Thor, that is being directed by Shakespearean bigwig Kenneth Branagh. The film has already cast Australian unknown Chris Hemsworth as the hammer wielding hard-man, as Marvel look to launch another successful franchise. Portman adds some much needed star wattage to the production, as she comes off Jim Sheridan’s Brothers, and begins shooting Your Highness in Belfast opposite James Franco and Danny McBride.
