Irish actor Pierce Brosnan is currently doing the press rounds for new spy movie, The November Man, and as part of the promotion did one of those Reddit AMA fan things that can be awful amusing sometimes.
While Brosnan was typically funny and charming, the former James Bond star also revealed that he almost played another iconic character - that of Batman.
He told a fan, "I went and met with Tim Burton for the role of Batman. But I just couldn't really take it seriously, any man who wears his underpants outside his pants just cannot be taken seriously. That was my foolish take on it. It was a joke, I thought. But how wrong was I?" Pretty wrong, Pierce, but Michael Keaton is in less films than you now, so don't take it to heart.
Her added, "Don't get me wrong, because I love Batman, and I grew up on Batman. As a kid in Ireland, we used to get our raincoats and tie them round our neck and swing through the bicycle shed."
Looking back at your youth in Navan with rose tinted glasses then Pierce? Sure why not.
