No joke, Pierce Brosnan is probably one of the slickest Irishmen to walk the face of the Earth. In fact, he's so slick that most people don't even realise he's Irish. In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Brosnan spoke briefly about his time in the tuxedo and it wasn't all martinis and beautiful women. Speaking frankly about his Bond movies - four in total - Brosnan admits there was some problems.
"It was a very hard one to grasp the meaning of, for me. The violence was never real, the brute force of the man was never palpable," Brosnan says. He goes on, admitting that he never watches his old Bond movies, saying "I have no desire to watch myself as James Bond. 'Cause it's just never good enough. It's a horrible feeling." Yikes. We always loved GoldenEye, and not just because of the Nintendo 64 game.
Brosnan also put a stop to the rumours that he's joining the cast of the next Expendables film, saying it was "idle dinner conversation with Avi Lerner (executive producer of The Expendables franchise)." Brosnan did, however, mention that he'd be interested in joining the female version of The Expendables. So that's something, eh?
Here he is a good few years ago when he turned up on Muppets Tonight. Did you know he was a professional fire-breather before he became an actor? You do now. Check this out.
