We are so excited for this.
Oscar winner Brie Larson is about to make her superhero movie debut as the titular character in Captain Marvel – the MCU’s first female-led venture.
With news that the upcoming film will be set in the 90s, and that the flick will co-star Jude Law as Dr. Walter Lawson, expectations couldn’t be higher.
Lawson is Captain Marvel's scientist mentor, who also doubles as Mar-Vell, a Kree warrior who masquerades as a human to blend in and study mankind. This connection to Kree may just be a key to the suit Larson has been seen donning in the first on-set pics revealed of her role from the movie.

Tweeters have been weirded out by the green suit, since Captain Marvel tends to be associated with a red costume, but as observers have noted, with the Krees’ uniform being green, this could very well just be a version of the character’s suit at an early stage in the film before she moves onto the more familiar Captain Marvel design.
its the same color as the Kree, maybe later it will be red.#CaptainMarvel pic.twitter.com/mdf6UnJfA6

It looks like a prototype costume the government probably has Danvers wear when she first starts her missions as Captain Marvel. pic.twitter.com/PEJniPHdHh

Few people suggesting maybe it's an initial Kree version of the suit and then she'll get her own colors later. Considering the #CaptainMarvel movie is set in the '90s, that's totally possible.
