It looked almost like the DC camp had gone quiet altogether, with no sign of a trailer or any official images or plot synopses coming forward in the last few months.
We're guessing that's down to some big reveal that'll be forthcoming in the next month or so. In any case, we've got our first bit of real news from Warner Bros.' upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Director Zack Snyder tweeted this image from his account a couple of hours ago, giving us the first real look at their version of Aquaman.
You cannot believe how relieved we are that they've ditched the orange and green look.

So, first thoughts? He's no Vincent Chase, that's for sure. Jason Momoa looks a lot more leaner than we've seen him in a big-scale production. Most will know him as Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones, where he was built like a tank.
Fans may also recognise him from the ill-fated Conan reboot, again also built like a tank. He also turned up in the not-that-bad, Walter 'Warriors' Hill-directed Bullet To The Head - again, built like a tank.
Here, however, he's dropped a few pounds and got some grey running through his rastafied hair.
Fan reaction seems pretty good, but we won't know anything for sure until we get a look at a trailer. It's not known yet how much Aquaman will feature in Dawn of Justice, suffice to say that he'll be in it. We're guessing it's an extended cameo, leading up to the Justice League movie in the future.
So, what do you think? Does Jason Momoa look like a credible Aquaman? Let us know in the comments!
