The Irish actors are set to portray Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr
Could two of Ireland's biggest young actors be about to share the silver screen?
According to reports, both Paul Mescal and Barry Keoghan have been strongly rumoured to feature in the forthcoming Beatles biopic directed by Sam Mendes.
The film about the Fab Four was first pitched earlier this year, after it was announced that 'Skyfall' and 'American Beauty' director Mendes was teaming up with Sony and Apple Corps Ltd. to make four biopics about the members of the legendary band.
It has now been rumoured (but unconfirmed, it must be noted) that the four band members have been cast, with the two Irish actors named for Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

According to reports, Mescal will play McCartney and Keoghan will play Starr.
We already know that Mescal can hold a tune, given his appearances with sister Nell and even Dermot Kennedy a few years ago...
