Bourne Supremacy and Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass was all set to direct a biopic of the late, great civil rights activist Martin Luther King, but for whatever reason the production fell through. The British director is now weighing up his options with some distinct possibilities...

According to Vulture, Greengrass is in negotiations to direct Tom Hanks in Maersk Alabama. In the film Hanks would play Captain Richard Phillips, a man who was abducted by Somali Pirates but then rescued by Navy Seals - who are SO hot right now. He's also weighing up Rush, about the rivalry between Formula One drivers Niki Lauda and James Hunt, and the 1976 season that nearly killed both men. Has he seen Senna!? Make that biopic, Paul... Eh, if you're reading.

I have a feeling that had Green Zone not flopped, Greengrass would be making his MLK biopic. I liked it, but he's obviously looking for the perfect flick for him to bounce back with and remind Hollywood what a brilliant director he is.
