Just when you thought they were giving the Paranormal Activity spiel a break, makers have announced that two sequels will be released in 2014. With four already released, it's looking like this sequel is sticking to its niche for the foreseeable future. What else could you say about things that go bump in the night? A lot apparently.
After taking a break in 2013 from the franchise, the creators will more than make up for any disappointment and Para-cravings with the next two films, with one coming out in January and another in October of that year. The first of these, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, has been characterised as a Latino spin-off, meaning it has a predominantly Latino cast and deals with Latino community in its theme. For this installment of ghostly woes, odious affairs involving the Catholic Church will feature as the main plotline.
The latter on the two, Paranormal Activity 5, is the more mysterious of the upcoming sequels, with little detail given about what audience's can expect, other than hauntings and home video style shooting. Producers Jason Blum and Oren Peli, horror connoisseurs and producers of the previous films in the franchise, are set to return for the 2014 films. Time to invest in a night-light?
