The horror franchise is still going
The latest installment of the 'Paranormal Activity' franchise gets an official trailer. If you can believe it, this is the seventh movie in the found footage franchise.
'Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin' takes the franchise into Amish territory.
Plot details have been kept under wraps. However, it looks from the trailer that it follows a young woman in search of her biological parents.
She brings a friend along to help film her findings, and their journey brings them to a friendly Amish community.
Creepy events start to occur and the locals exhibit strange behaviour.
The protagonist grows increasingly suspicious of what happened to her mother here...
Emily Bader, Roland Buck III, Dan Lippert, Tom Nowicki, and Henry Ayres-Brown star.
Franchise regular Christopher Landon penned the script and cinematographer-turned-director William Eubank is at the helm.
Jason Blum produces alongside franchise creator Oren Peli.
The first 'Paranormal Activity' hit cinemas back in 2007 and proved a major box office smash.
Sequels followed in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015.
