The news coming out of Hollywood this morning will disappoint a lot of Ron Burgundy fans. Anchorman director Adam McKay had put the wheels in motion for a sequel to the hit 2004 comedy about a dim newscaster (played by Will Ferrell in a career highlight performance) and his bumbling sidekicks and co-anchors and the rest of the cast, including Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell and David Koechner, had agreed to take a salary cut to get the project on the go. So far so good, right? Unfortunately not. McKay recently tweeted that Paramount has unfortunately passed on it, leaving the entire project in limbo ensuring that Anchorman fans across the globe are firmly entrenched in glass cases of emotion.
