The movie will be heading to Netflix this Autumn
Here's our first look at Martin Scorsese's 'The Irishman.'
The 45 second clip of 'The Irishman' arrived during one of the ad-breaks for the 2019 Oscars ceremony.
While we don't see much (or actually, anything at all) of 'The Irishman' in the clip, we hear a very brief conversation while the biggest names of the movie flash on screen. As well as Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Harvey Keitel fighting for screen time on Netflix's biggest movie ever made, Ray Romano, Anna Paquin, and Jesse Plemons are also part of the ensemble.
Apparently, the movie is set to be the most expensive movie ever made. And its no wonder - with such an iconic cast, there must be quite the hefty bill. However, the movie is also set to be using the same technology that was used in Brad Pitt's 'Benjamin Button' to de-age the cast. Which means we might not get a real trailer for the movie for a while longer, if special effects come into play.
The screenplay has been written by Steven Zaillian, and is based on the 2004 Charles Brandt book 'I Heard You Paint Houses.'
'The Irishman' will release in theatres, and on Netflix, this Autumn.
