She's just turned 32...
Yesterday, the actress revealed on Howard Stern's radio show that she auditioned for Martin Scorsese some years ago to play (meaning she would've been in her late twenties - 28 to be exact), and the feedback went a little like this...
"The funniest thing I heard recently was, I heard that I was too sophisticated. I thought, 'Oh, that sounds nice. I like that feedback. I didn't get the part but I'm a very sophisticated person.' And then I found out later they actually said old. I want to make a translation sheet for Hollywood that's all the feedback your agents give you and what it really means... I had auditioned unsuccessfully for Wolf of Wall Street, that's the one I was too old for."
On the upside, it meant she didn't have to audition for her role in Scorsese's Vinyl because he had her in mind for the part.
Lest anyone pick apart Wilde's words, giving them a negative spin regarding 25-year-old Margot Robbie (who got to play Leo's onscreen wife in Wolf when she was 22), Olivia took to twitter this morning to clarify her quotes...
My point about not being cast in "Wolf o W-Street" was that we have to trust the process because I ended up with my dream job on "Vinyl". ðŸ'ÂÂÂ?

And my interview went on to say that Margot Robbie crushed that role like a sexy ninja and I LOVED her in it.ðŸ'¥âš¡ï¸ÂÂ?ðŸ'¥
