Rumours are now rampant in Hollywood this week, that Chris Nolan's brother and frequent collaborator Jonathan Nolan could be stepping in to make his directorial debut with Superman.

According to Slashfilm.com, Warner Bros. executives see Chris as very much part of their family, and really want to keep it that way - getting his brother on board would make sense, if he has a vision for the new Superman and Chris is involved. Inception is garnering the kind of ecstatic reviews that echo into Oscar season, but some critics, somewhat predictably, don't get the hype.

It's looking like Warner Bros. may be waiting to see how Inception performs on opening weekend before committing to the Nolan sibling helming. Whatever the case, a new Batman flick is due to get underway before next summer, and Chris is attached to produce Superman, whoever wields the megaphone. If you like epic, intelligent cinema, I highly recommend Inception. It opens today.
