Let's qualify that statement for a minute.
Those of you who ACTUALLY thought that Domhnall Gleeson would announce his role in a multi-billion franchise via an unverified Twitter account, you're idiots. Go stand at the back of the class.
The rest of you, you're fine.
It was "announced" - and those are the biggest inverted commas we could find - that Domhnall Gleeson, or as his Twitter handle incorrectly spells it, @DomnhallGleeson, would be playing Luke Skywalker's son in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The clearly-fake profile even went so far as to tweet a little side-by-side image of himself and Mark Hamill, circa Return of the Jedi. The tweet has since been deleted.
There's been rumours for quite some time that Domhnall will play Skywalker's son, however we don't get into idle speculation in these parts. LOL JK, we totally do.
The only characters who have been officially confirmed are the original cast - that's Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, etc. - and one or two of the newer faces. Oscar Isaac will play Poe Dameron, an X-Wing pilot whilst Daisy Ridley will play Rey.
*megaphone feedback* THAT'S ALL THAT'S BEEN CONFIRMED. RETURN TO YOUR HOMES. NOTHING TO SEE HERE.
