Warner Bros has announced a sequel to the 1998 classic

'Practical Magic 2' is a go and it's looking likely Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman will reprise their roles as the Owen sisters. 

The actors are said to be in talks with Warner Bros following the announcement that a sequel to the 1998 flick is on the way.

For those unfamiliar, 'Practical Magic' was a romantic fantasy film based on the 1995 novel of the same name by Alice Hoffman. Directed by Griffin Dunne, the movie starred Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as two sisters, Sally and Gillian Owens, who come from a long line of witches. They get wrapped in supernatural coverup when Bullock's character accidentally kills her sister's abusive boyfriend and Aidan Quinn rocks up as the dashing detective trying to solve the murder.

Warner Bros got fans buzzing for the sequel announcement on Sunday night by sharing lots of the original movie's best moments. The news was then confirmed with this video:

Akiva Goldsman will write the screenplay for the new movie, with Bullock and Kidman expected to produce alongside Denise Di Novi. 

No word yet on when we can expect to see 'Practical Magic 2' but we will keep you posted.
