Nicolas Cage has joined the cast of Matthew Vaughn's latest effort Kick-Ass. Cage is a former cop who wants to bring down a druglord and has trained his daughter (Chloe Moretz) to be a lethal weapon. Cage joins a cast that's quickly gaining momentum toward production with Christopher Mintz-Plasse (aka McLovin') already signed up to play a gangsters son called Red Mist. Vaughn wrote the screenplay with Mrs Jonathon Ross, Jane Goldman and has found the clams to fund it himself after every studio passed on account of the madness of it all.
