They've been spoiling us rotten with new movie trailers today so they have, what with brand new sneak peeks at The Conjuring and The Hangover Part 3 dropping. And then we also got our first look at Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, the follow up to Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief.
Logan Lerman returns as Percy, the hero of Rick Riordan's immensely popular 'Percy Jackson and The Olympians' series. The first film may have strayed a little far from the source material, but that certainly didn't mean it wasn't entertaining. I mean it featured Pierce Brosnan as a centaur for heaven's sake. As our own Rory would say, James Bond was half horse, half man! What more could you want?
This time around it seems as though Anthony Head aka Giles from Buffy, will be playing the half horse, half man centaur Chiron, while Stanley Tucci joins the cast as Dionysus. We'll catch up with young Percy (who is half man half God in case you didn't know) and his friends as they set out on a quest for the legendary Golden Fleece. They need to find it in order to save all the demigods in Camp Half Blood from destruction at the hands of the titan, Kronos. It all sounds a bit Revenge of the Titans, doesn't it?
Oh, and it's got Sean Bean in it too. He's playing Zeus y'see. Why do we have a sickening feeling that his casting never bodes well for a character's chance at survival?
