He's done the chick-flick romantic leads, he's done the comedy with 21 Jump Street (not to mention Magic Mike which satisfied both the ladies and the bros) and now he's moving on to more serious fare. A bonafide Hollywood A-Lister, Channing Tatum will now appear opposite Rooney Mara in what's rumoured to be Steven Soderbergh's last ever film, Side Effects.
As per Total Film, Tatum and Mara star here as a successful New York couple who find their lives beginning to unravel when a Rooney's psychiatrist (played by Jude Law) issues her with a new drug that ends up leaving her with some pretty destructive side effects. To us this sounds like a fantastic movie, and it's not the first time Tatum has had to deal with a wife gone loco so he should be at ease in the role; although we reckon this is tonally somewhat different to The Vow. Don't be expecting rainbows and heart-shaped chocolate with this one; we're told death is a prominent theme of this movie. Yikes!
