The very awesome Liam Neeson continues to throw himself into his work, with news that the Irish actor will star in the production, The Virgin of Las Vegas, which according to Variety, "affectionately recalls the Irish pop culture phenomenon of show bands." Neeson will play an "aging show band singer, prone to drink and living in Vegas, who finds his life turned on its head following the arrival of a mysterious stranger." Bono is one of the producers. In the same article, the trade bible reports that (one of the finest actors working today) Brendan Gleeson will make his directorial debut with the film, At Swim-Two-Birds. The whimsical sounding production centres on a 19 year old who, whilst writing his first play, sees the characters come to life before him. Colin Farrell, Jonathon Rys Myers, Cillian Murphy and Gabriel Byrne have all signed on to star.
