"It’s become the M-She-U"
A new picture from 'Thor: Love and Thunder' has been doing the rounds online, showing off a hench Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor.
With the first MCU movie release of the year out of the way ('Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'), it's time to look ahead at the next big summer blockbuster that will be crashing into cinemas this July. Ahead of its release, a brand new picture of returning star Natalie Portman and her huge arms from 'Thor: Love and Thunder' has been shared, and people can't get over how buff she's looking.
Here's the picture in question, featuring Tessa Thompson as King Valkyrie.
Portman returns to the franchise as Jane Foster, reprising her (very brief) role from 'Avengers: Infinity War', as Thor's previous love interest. This time around, however, things are looking very different for the character as she'll be wielding Mjolnir, serving up a side to Jane that's so far only happened in the Marvel Comics.
Taika Waititi's sequel film is going all-out, presenting fans with Jane as Mighty Thor, who has most of the same powers as the mighty Asgardian God himself. Our last proper look at Jane was in 'Thor: The Dark World', with Portman also lending her voice for Disney+'s 'What If...'.
It should also be noted that a new character can be seen in the bottom-right corner of the image. Akiosa Sabet ('Clickbait') will play Goddess Bast/Bastet, who is worshipped in Wakanda and Ancient Egypt and is often referred to as "The Panther God". The character has strong ties to Disney+'s 'Moon Knight', being in the same league as the Egyptian God of the Moon, Khonshu, who inhabits Marc Spector's body.
Expect to see more of the psychopomp Goddess in the forthcoming MCU release later this year, 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'.
Here are some of the best reactions we've spotted for Natalie Portman and her new 'Thor: Love and Thunder' get-up.
