Remember we were telling you earlier this week that our own Michael Fassbender had just signed on to play Macbeth in a brand new big screen adaptation of the Shakespeare classic? Well, screen siren Natalie Portman's just joined the production as his lovely lady-wife. Surely that's far too much beauty for one screen to handle?
As per Screen Daily, Portman has had her eye on the role of Lady Macbeth for quite a while now, and jumped at the chance to play the Scottish nobleman's manipulative missus. It won't be the first time she's worked with our Michael either, as the pair have just finished working on an untitled Terrence Malick film, which focuses on the Texas music scene. They'll be trading sun for the Scottish highlands later this year though.
Snowtown director Justin Kurzel will be at the helm of the new movie, which is set in the 11th Century. We've been told to expect a "visceral approach to the story including significant battle scenes". Sounds interesting to say the least. We won't be seeing them on the big screen for a while mind you: The project won't start shooting until later this year.
