Michael Keaton will return to film to star alongside Michelle Monaghan in the psychological thriller Penthouse North, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story is apparently about an agoraphobic woman (Monaghan) who is stuck in her penthouse apartment when a violent thief (Keaton) breaks in looking for hidden loot. Sounds very Panic Room - but David Fincher won't be here to elevate this material, instead Forgotten and Sleeping with the Enemy director Joseph Ruben will call the shots.
It's somewhat strange casting, but Keaton is a talented guy so it'll be good to see him back on the big screen in a serious role - he was last seen in The Other Guys. While Monaghan is always watchable. Lakeview Terrance writer David Loughery has penned the script.
