Yes, this is really happening. Michael Flatley of ‘Riverdance’ and ‘Lord of the Dance’ fame and riches has turned to the world of filmmaking as he reveals the poster for feature film, ‘Blackbird’. The movie marks his directorial, writing, and acting debut (eek…).
Half James Bond and half Casablanca-inspired, the synopsis reads: “Troubled secret agent ‘Blackbird’ abruptly retires from service and opens a luxurious nightclub in the Caribbean to escape the dark shadows of his past. An old flame arrives and reignites love in his life but she brings danger with her.”
Eric Roberts (‘The Dark Knight’), Patrick Bergin (‘Sleeping With the Enemy’), Ian Beattie (Meryn Trant in ‘Game of Thrones’) and Nicole Evans co-star.
The poster for the movie was unveiled by Flatley yesterday on Twitter:
I’ve dreamt of making a movie since I was 7 years old. Nothing great is ever easy but Nothing is Impossible!! Job Done!!! pic.twitter.com/aJmYnrBSq2
