Michael Fassbender has been confirmed to be starring in the Ridley Scott directed adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's first movie script, The Counselor reports Deadline.com.
In the flick The Dingle man will play a successful lawyer who begins dabbling in the drug world, thinking he can get out whenever he wants. Naturally things get far more complicated than that as he spirals deep into the criminal underworld. There is apparently a plum villain role akin to that of Javier Bardem's bad guy in No Country for Old Men, that Jeremy Renner, Brad Pitt and Bradley Cooper are up for.
Fassbender just won an IFTA, but criminally won't be attending The Oscars this Sunday as the big saps didn't nominate him.
