A live-action Dora the Explorer? Sure, we can see that. I mean, tonnes of cartoon characters or video game characters have been successfully brought to life in movie form.
You can see how one of the most successful children's cartoons in recent years might translate to the big screen, with her faithful dog Diego and her talking backpack in tow.
However, it's been revealed that none other than Michael Bay is producing the film, and that's what has bamboozled people.
This is the same Michael Bay, after all, who is known for his big-budget, action-packed blockbusters - like Transformers, Bad Boys, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, The Rock... what on earth is he going to do with everyone's favourite young Spanish-speaking adventurer?
There's no word on who's directing the film yet, but Nick Stoller - the writer of Bad Neighbours 2, Zoolander 2, Captain Underpants and The Muppets - is writing the script. The story reportedly centres on Dora as a teenager who moves to the city to live with her 'cousin', Diego (no talking dog?! Damn you all to hell.)
We'll keep an eye on this one with interest....

Michael Bay Producing? Dora and Boots are about to be running through a field of explosives. Swiper will probably have an RPG. Here we go. https://t.co/gZtEe39rGS

Can't believe I live in an age where Michael Bay and live action Dora the Explorer are in the same sentence

We live in a world where a Dora the Explorer movie with Michael Bay as its producer is going to be a thing.
This is the darkest timeline.
