Shelton directed episodes of 'Mad Men', 'Glow' and indie hits like 'Humpday', 'Outside In' and 'Sword of Trust'.
Lynn Shelton, director of 'Humpday', 'Your Sister's Sister', 'Outside In', has passed away at the age of 54 from a previously undiagnosed blood disorder.
Shelton was best known for her work on episodes of 'GLOW', 'Mad Men', 'The Good Place', 'New Girl', 'The Morning Show' 'Little Fires Everywhere' and 'Love'. More recently, Shelton had worked with her partner Marc Maron on the comedy 'Sword of Trust' and were working on a script for a new movie.
Speaking to IndieWire, Maron said that he "loved her very much as I know many of you did as well. It’s devastating. I am leveled, heartbroken and in complete shock and don’t really know how to move forward in this moment."
"She was a beautiful, kind, loving, charismatic artist. Her spirit was pure joy. She made me happy. I made her happy. We were happy. I made her laugh all the time. We laughed a lot. We were starting a life together. I really can’t believe what is happening."

On Twitter, Mindy Kaling offered tribute to Shelton, who worked with her on 'The Mindy Project' as director on several episodes. "Lynn Shelton loved actors and we loved her back. She was a dream on set. Her lovely, sunny energy was infectious and actors always drifted to video village between takes to be around her. She had such a quiet power and I will miss her."
Reese Witherspoon, likewise, worked with Shelton on 'Little Fires Everywhere', stating that she was "in complete shock that this vibrant, talented, and soulful filmmaker is no longer with us."
