Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment are lining up a great cast for their sequel to The Secret Life of Pets.
Last November, after revelations of sexual misconduct against five separate women, Louis CK was fired as the lead of the film.
According to Deadline, Patton Oswalt has replaced him as Max the dog. Oswalt would be no stranger to voice acting having previously played Remy in Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille.
Additionally, Harrison Ford is set to join the cast in his first ever animated voice role. Other new additions to the cast include Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish, Nick Kroll, and Pete Holmes.
Actors returning from the first film are Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Eric Stonestreet, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress, and Bobby Moynihan. Director Chris Renaud and writer Brian Lynch are reprising their duties for the sequel.
Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment would be renowned for the Despicable Me and Minions movies. Their next feature is Dr Seuss’s The Grinch.
