"One zoom to rule them all.."
Josh Gad has been reuniting the casts and crews of beloved movie classics via zoom. He kicked things off with a reunion for 'The Goonies' then had everyone delighted as the guys from 'Back to the Future' came together again. His latest episode of Youtube series 'Reunited Apart' saw the 'Lord of the Rings' gang come together again and it was awesome.
The 'Lord of the Rings' hit cinemas between 2001 and 2003, and has a major fan following.
Cast members Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Orlando Bloom and Ian McKellen all joined the zoom chat. Viggo Mortensen, Karl Urban, Liv Tyler, Miranda Otto, Sean Bean, Andy Serkis and John Rhys-Davies pop up too. Serkis even shares how Gollum and Smeagol would be doing in lockdown.
Music composer Howard Shore and director Peter Jackson also drop by. Plus Taika Waititi quizzes them.
Now it is a long video, coming in at 50 minutes (then again, the series was never known for being short either). But anyone who loves 'Lord of the Rings' will get a lot out of it, including learning some behind the scenes facts they weren't aware of.
And it ends with a gorgeous rendition of that song from the movies from Billy Boyd.
Check it out.
