The official trailer for 'Locked Down' has gone live.
Like the KJ Apa thriller 'Songbird', the film uses the COVID-19 crisis as a backdrop. 'Locked Down' is being described as a heist movie slash romantic comedy.
It's packed with a great cast led by Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Ben Kingsley, Ben Stiller, Lucy Boynton, Mindy Kaling, Stephen Merchant and Mark Gatiss also star.
Doug Liman ('Live Die Repeat', 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith') directs the script from Steven Knight ('Peaky Blinders').
The movie sees a couple decide to address their rocky relationship by attempting a jewellery heist during the pandemic.
Th official synopsis reads: "Just as they decide to separate, Linda (Hathaway) and Paxton (Ejiofor) find life has other plans when they are stuck at home in a mandatory lockdown.
"Co-habitation is proving to be a challenge, but fueled by poetry and copious amounts of wine, it will bring them closer together in the most surprising way."
The film was shot in the UK from September to October under strict COVID-19 safety protocols.
It premieres on HBO Max on January 14. A release date for Ireland has yet to be confirmed.
