This comes as sad news for the world of movies but also expected news given how much Leonardo DiCaprio's been doing of late. The Inception actor has decided he's beyond exhausted and needs to put his foot on the breaks for a wee while. OK well it's not just a holiday, it's going to be for a 'long time'. Not to worry though, we're sure he'll be back to what he does best once he starts to miss it, with another plethora of award winning movies. Maybe it's the Oscar snub that's put him off; we really thought he deserved a nod for his supporting role in Django Unchained but alas, it wasn't to be.
Leo, who we fell head over heels in love with after dragging Rose back from a near death experience on the stern of the Titanic, has been working back to back on three films over the last two years. Speaking to German newspaper Bild, he said "I am a bit drained. I'm going to take a long, long break. I'm just worn out."
So what will he do with his time? Travel and work on his enviromental concerns. "I would like to improve the world a bit. (Don't you all). I will fly around the world doing good for the environment." Not really though, if you think about your carbon footprint there Leo.
Django is not the last of Leo you will see this year however. He's still got The Great Gatsby to promote as well as Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, both due for release later this year.
Sad? Us too.
