I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence is in negotiations to call the shots on a long gestating biopic of famed magician/escapologist, Harry Houdini, reports Variety.
Sony have been developing the film for some time, with Paul Verhoeven at one point seen as the man to helm. But Lawrence is currently hot property in Hollywood, and picked his post-Legend project carefully - the romance saturated Robert Pattinson starrer, Water For Elephants.
Lawrence has not yet committed to direct, but if the script is decent it would surely attract some serious starry names.
