Martin Campbell is out and Dennis Iliades is in on the proposed remake of The Birds that Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes are producing.
According to Pajiba, Campbell is too heavily into preproduction on The Green Hornet to even think about another project, so Iliades is now the man to take the classic Alfred Hitchcock film to the big screen once more.
Those who have seen the remake of The Last House on the Left will testify to Iliades ability as a filmmaker. I really liked his work there, and look forward to seeing what he can do reworking a genuine classic. Naomi Watts is tentatively slated to star.
