In a fairly stunning casting swoop, Keira Knightley, Christoph Waltz and Michael Fassbender have all signed on to star in David Cronenberg's adaptation of The Talking Cure.

According to Empire Magazine, via The Playlist, the film chronicles the "fathers of psychoanalysis (Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung) and their complex relationships with a beautiful patient." I'm going out on a limb and assuming that Knightley will be playing the beautiful patient.

Waltz and Fassbender are both hot of Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds, with Waltz in particular garnering much awards buzz for his role as the sadistic Jew hunter. Fassbender is a movie star in waiting, and a truly wonderful actor. He'll next be seen in Neil Marshall's Centurion, while he also has notable parts in Jonah Hex and Jane Eyre coming up. Knightley is starring opposite Colin Farrell in London Boulevard, as well as the next film from the amazing Mark Romanek, Never Let Me Go.
