It's released in cinemas in October
The second trailer for Martin Scorsese's forthcoming film 'Killers of the Flower Moon' has been revealed, and it's certainly whet the appetite for its October release date.
The film is Scorsese's first feature since 2019's 'The Irishman' and is adapted from David Grann's novel of the same name, which was based on the real-life story of the murders of dozens of Native Americans from the Osage Nation in the 1920s in oil-rich Oklahoma.
Its star-studded cast features Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Mollie Kyle, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Brendan Fraser and more, while musicians Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson also have roles.
The synopsis reads: "At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder. Based on a true story… ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.”
