Love him or hate him, one thing is certain about Kevin Smith - he can be quite eloquent when he wants to be.
The writer / director's latest film, Yoga Hosers, is getting panned roundly by critics and is currently sitting at 25% on Rotten Tomatoes, 31% on Metacritic. A lot of the blame and criticisms are being aimed at both Smith and his daughter, Harley Quinn Smith. However, while criticism is widespread, there's always a sinister element and one particular message left on Harley's Instagram was particularly vile.
Kevin Smith then took on the comment on his own Instagram and had a few nuggets of advice for trolls. "(If) you hate me (or my kid) this much, the better use of your time is to make YOUR dreams come true, instead of slamming others for doing the same. The best revenge is living insanely well - so if you wanna get back at a 17 year old girl for the grievous crime of enjoying her life, the best way to do it is to succeed in your OWN existence."
"Show the world WHY we should be paying attention to you instead of anyone else. Because randomly attacking others merely communicates how creatively and emotionally bankrupt you are. You think you have something to offer the world but others are getting all the attention?"
He might a crap director, but Kevin Smith's certainly ahead at being a father. Good for him, in fairness.
