New light has been shed on what happened behind the scenes of the infamous shoot
'Zack Snyder's Justice League' has proven a triumph for fans, with many praising it as the version of the movie that should have been.
Many are familiar at this point that 'Justice League' was a testy shoot. After Snyder departed production in the wake of his daughter's death, Joss Whedon took over as director.
But Whedon has since come under a number of accusations of acting unprofessionally and abusively during filming.
Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg in 'Justice League', claimed "Joss Wheadon’s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable" last July.
Since then, he has been involved in a lengthy and public battle with Warner Bros.
Fisher spoke more about his experience of Whedon being dismissive of the actors and controlling of the script during the 'Justice League' shoot in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
According to the publication, there was also a "clash" between 'Justice League' star Gal Gadot and Joss Whedon.
A "knowledgeable source" stated that Gadot had several concerns with Whedon's revised version of the film.
These included "issues about her character being more aggressive than her character in 'Wonder Woman'. She wanted to make the character flow from one movie to the next."
According to sources, the biggest clash came when Whedon pushed Gadot to record lines she didn't like.
The 'Justice League' director allegedly threatened to harm Gadot's career and disparaged 'Wonder Woman' director Patty Jenkins.
A witness on the production said that after one clash: "Joss was bragging that he's had it out with Gal.
"He told her he's the writer and she's going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie."
According to a source, Gadot and Jenkins met with then-Warners chairman Kevin Tsujihara following the incident.
Gadot said in a statement: "I had my issues with [Whedon] and Warner Bros. handled it in a timely manner."
Joss Whedon also came under accusations from the cast of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' earlier this year.
