It's been a long time coming but we finally have some 100% official news on the long-touted fourth Jurassic Park film - including its title.
Jurassic World, as it will be called, will be helmed by Colin Trevorrow and based upon a script he wrote along with screenwriter Derek Connolly. Steven Spielberg will Executive Produce.
Jurassic Park IV was originally scheduled for a release in June of next year but delays in the screenwriting process forced the project's producers to bide their time.
The third Jurassic Park film was released in 2001 by director Joe Johnston and was met with mixed reviews.
Trevmorrow has apparently suggested that he will introduce new dinosaurs to the Jurassic Park universe, including some amphibious creatures.
He also spoke of the guidance that Spielberg has provided so far, saying: "It's incredible to have Steven, who done this for decades and has such incredible film knowledge and just understands the language of the story in a way that for us is very refreshing. It's not like getting notes from a studio executive, it's really just trying to crack this make it the best it can be."
