Oscar winning Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody has signed on to produce and pen a cinematic incarnation of the series of books that became a teen show, Sweet Valley High. I've, somewhat unsurprisingly, never read the books, but I was privy to the show as a youngster on account of the attractive twins who starred in it - bless those early hormonal teen years. Cody recently wrote the horror/comedy Jennifer's Body, which has been getting a bit of a battering in America. The film opened poorly after mixed reviews, and doesn't look like it'll be hanging round the charts too long. That said, Cody has a wonderful writing style so I'd watch pretty much anything she is involved with. No director is yet attached, but every pair of attractive acting twins in The States just contacted their agent.
