Yes, really.
That's right - the very secretive role that Jude Law is to play in 'Captain Marvel' was revealed yesterday evening thanks to a Funko toy.
That's those weird figurines that are essentially this generation's Beanie Babies that look... weird, to be quite honest. A promotional spread of the figurines for the upcoming movie leaked online last night and, as is normal, had the names of the characters underneath.
Now, while that may not important in most movies, 'Captain Marvel' is lifting a lot of its plot from the comics. Thus, even a character's name is a potential spoiler. Of course, if you've never read the comics, there's a good chance you won't even know (and / or) care.
Still, you've got to imagine the screenwriters must be pretty peeved about something like this making it out when they've gone to a lot of trouble to keep it under wraps.
We're stalling. Look away now if you don't want any spoilers for Captain Marvel.
Here we go...

OK, Jude Law's character will be Yon-Rogg. In the comics, Yon-Rogg was a Kree military officer who hated Mar-Vell, the alien that eventually transfers his powers to Carol Danvers, the character played by Brie Larson.
While it may just be that they're keeping the same name and changing the plot, it doesn't seem all that likely as Marvel tends to craft stories pretty close to what took place in the comics.
So, what does all this mean at the end of the day? Not a whole lot, really, but if you're thinking Jude Law was going to play a heroic role in it, think again.
'Captain Marvel' hits Irish cinemas on March 8th, 2019.
