We're going to make a point here of only using 'Candyman' four times in this article. That's one and we're not counting the headline either.
So, it's been reported by horror site Bloody Disgusting that Jordan Peele is currently in talks to produce a remake of 'Candyman' through his Monkeypaw Productions banner. That's two. The story was based on Clive Barker's short story, 'The Forbidden', and was originally set in England and was moved to Chicago for the movie and expanded out.
'Candyman' - that's three - had two sequels, neither of which were particularly good, however the first one did receive some critical plaudits when it was first released in 1992. The franchise has effectively been dormant since 1999's 'Candyman: Day Of The Dead' which saw Tony Todd reprising his title role, but given how Jordan Peele is now one of the most in-demand directors working today, turning his hand to 'Candyman' could be an interesting choice.
OK, that's five. RUN.
