The Irish actress could be collaborating with the director of 'Ex Machina'
The career of Irish actress Jessie Buckley continues to rise.
Having starred in the latest season of 'Fargo', and delivering a turn in 'I'm Thinking of Ending Things' that could earn Oscar attention, Jessie Buckley is looking to her next gig.
The 'Beast' and Wild Rose' actress could next be starring in 'Men', from director Alex Garland.
Garland is best-known as the writer-director of 'Ex Machina'.
He also wrote and directed Netflix movie 'Annihilation', and penned '28 Days Later', 'Sunshine', and 'Dredd'.
'Men' signals his return to filmmaking since 2018's 'Annihilation', though he did helm the Hulu limited series 'Devs' in between.
A24 are the studio behind his latest.
Garland is eyeing Rory Kinnear to star as well.
'Men' follows a young woman who goes on a vacation alone to the English countryside following the death of her ex-husband.
According to Deadline: "Sources add Buckley’s deal is not closed but is headed in right direction."
They added: "As for Buckley, sources tell Deadline that Garland met with talent for the part last year; it quickly became a sought-after role for some of the town’s rising stars.
"Buckley would eventually land the role, after which Garland quickly set Kinnear."
The actress next stars in National Theatre’s 'Romeo and Juliet' for PBS and Sky Arts alongside Josh O’Connor.
