The gorgeous and talented Jennifer Lawrence is being pursued by director David O'Russell to take the lead female role opposite Mark Wahlberg in The Silver Linings Playbook.
According to Deadline.com, every hot young actress in Hollywood wants, or was being considered for the part, with Rachel McAdams, Blake Lively and Anne Hathaway all being linked. Based on Matthew Quick's novel, the film "revolves around a former high school teacher who was institutionalized for depression and is then released into the care of his mother. He tries to win back his ex-wife but becomes involved with an eccentric neighbour with problems of her own." That would be the Lawrence role after she finishes work on tween blockbuster, Hunger Games.
Wahlberg and O'Russell have worked together three times, most recently on The Fighter, which was a big box-office success and was also nominated for a bunch of Oscars, winning two for Best Supporting Actor and Actress.
