Kevin Smith returns to the director's seat
We've been waiting for a proper stupidly hilarious comedy all year. We've high hopes that 'Jay and Silent Bob Reboot' could be just that.
Jason Mewes is back as Jay/Chronic while Kevin Smith writes, directs and plays Silent Bob/Bluntman.
The plot synopsis reads:
"The stoner icons who first hit the screen 25 years ago in 'Clerks' are back! When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop it all over again!"
It's the eighth film in the View Askewniverse. Aside from 'Clerks', the movie universe also includes such films as 'Mallrats', 'Chasing Amy' and 'Dogma'.
It looks like View Askewniverse characters pop up all over the place in 'Jay and Silent Bob Reboot' as Shannon Elizabeth, Brian O'Halloran and Joey Lauren Adams all appear.
Elsewhere Craig Robinson, Chris Hemsworth, Justin Long, Jason Biggs, James Van Der Beek, Val Kilmer, Rosario Dawson, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck pop up.
Nostalgia is so in right now and the trailer looks great so here's hoping it's as funny as it looks.
